Leadership development is an integral part of the Harper County 4-H program. 4-H members are encouraged to expand their leadership skills by undertaking community projects, participating in public speaking contests and through other charitable work.

4-H members are encouraged to gain knowledge of leadership as a member or officer of their local 4-H club. Senior members are encouraged to seek additional leadership responsibilities by running for county and state 4-H offices, and are also eligible to attend the Oklahoma 4-H Roundup.
